Eban, Abba (1915-2002) Israeli diplomat and politician
Abba Eban served as an Israeli diplomat, government minister, and member of the Knesset. In 1947, he was a member of the Jewish Agency’s delegation to the UN General Assembly. During the fifties, as ambassador to Washington and permanent representative to UN, he established a close relationship and friendship with AJC President Jacob Blaustein. Eban’s interview is part of “Remembering Jacob Blaustein,” a collection within the William E. Wiener Oral History. In this interview, Eban recalls and explains AJC President Jacob Blaustein’s numerous contributions to Israel and world Jewry.
