The Division on Middle East and International Terrorism, (DMEIT), established in 1999, focuses on gathering, interpreting, and disseminating open source intelligence. It is the only department of its kind within the Jewish organizational world. All of its publications since 1999 can be accessed at the American Jewish Committee web site. DMEIT Director Yehudit Barsky also serves as the executive editor of Counterterrorism Watch, a web-based resource, created by DMEIT, to inform and educate professionals and the general public about international terrorism and the efforts to contain it.
